First Aid and CPR Training:
This course, which meets the regulatory requirements for HCBW services in Oklahoma and Tennessee, provides participants with the knowledge and skills to provide basic first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in emergency situations. Participants will learn how to recognize and respond to common medical emergencies, including heart attacks, strokes, and injuries.
Medication Administration Technician (MAT) Training:
Successfully completing this course is designed for individuals who work certifies Direct Support Professionals to administer medications in Home and Community Based Waiver (HCBW) settings and meets regulatory requirements for Oklahoma and Tennessee. and are responsible for administering medications to people they support. Participants will learn about medication safety, proper administration techniques, and the legal and ethical considerations involved in medication administration.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training:
This course is designed to help individuals and organizations prevent and manage challenging interactions with people in crisis in a compassionate and respectful way. Participants will learn de-escalation techniques, crisis prevention strategies, and how to provide support to individuals experiencing a crisis.
Person Centered Thinking Training:
Person Centered Thinking (PCT) training is a process of learning and developing skills that support the implementation of person-centered practices in various settings, including healthcare, education, social services, and other support services. PCT training emphasizes the importance of focusing on the unique strengths, needs, preferences, and aspirations of each person to promote their autonomy, dignity, and well-being. BiosReady offers a full 16-hour PCT class or a 4-hour overview.
Families Planning Together Training:
This six-hour course can be offered in person or virtually. It is designed to help families use Person Centered Thinking Skills to develop plans and strategies to support their loved ones with diverse needs. Participants will use PCT discovery skills to develop a One Page Description for their loved one.
